ready的用法 ready的具体用法

Ready 最常用的是做形容词，少数情况下也做动词、副词和名词。

1、形容词：( 比较级和最高级， readier, readiest)

prepared, 准备好了的；(不用在名词前面，仅做表语) We cant eat now – dinner is not ready. I will be ready in five minutes. Are you ready to go to school?

willing, 甘愿的，乐意的；(不用在名词前面，仅做表语) She is always ready to help. 她一直都很乐意帮忙。They werent ready to lend me the money. 他们不愿意借给我那笔钱。

quick or alert, 迅速的，敏捷的；灵巧的。She has got a ready mind. 她心灵敏捷。（修饰名词） She has got a ready wit.她足智多谋。She has got a ready tongue. 她伶牙俐齿。He has a ready pen.他文笔敏捷。

easily available, 即时可得的；现成的；随手可得的，Mother had a ready answer to every question.母亲对每个问题都有现成的答案。Keep some ready cash at home for an emergency. 家中放些现金，以备紧急之需。get ready: 准备好；Get ready, we have to leave now.

2、做动词 verb ：readies, readying, readied to prepare sb. /yourself/sth./ for sth. 为…做准备；准备好做…. Western companies were readying themselves for the challenge from Eastern markets. 西方的公司正在为迎接来自东方市场的调整做准备。

3、做副词。用于过去分词前面，经常构成符合词。已经完成的；已经做完的 ready-cooked meals ；现成的饭菜。The concrete was ready mixed.混凝土是搅拌好的。

4、做名称。英国非正式用法：the ready; 复数 the readies ；现钱短语：at the ready : 即时可用；随手可用；We all had our cameras at the ready. 我们都准备好了相机，随时可用。
